It was rainy on the fourth day of Portuguese Wine Tour.
We stayed a gorgeous resort hotel, which we arrived at last midnight, only 9 hours 30 minutes.
We visited to Casa Santos Lima in Lisboa.
The winery started bottling wine since 1996 and grew up rapidly.
We saw the cellar.
It was very modern and so big.
All of the equipment is very well organized.
Then we had a wine tasting.
They produce Portuguese wine from all of the area in Portugal.
They said their winery can produce any style of Portuguese wine as the clients’ inquiry.
Then other three wineries joined to the tasting.
I could find some very good wines.
After the tasting, we had a very nice lunch at the luxury dining room at the winery.
Then we moved to Alentejo by driving 2 hours 45 minutes.
Everybody had a sleeping in the bus except me, who wrote this diary in the bus.
Then we arrived at Herdade do Esporao, which is a major winery in this area.
The winery got a huge success as the first modern industry in Alentejo.
We were guided to the very big modern cellar.
It’ so huge!
We also guided to the old cellar where produces traditional style wine in this area.
After the cellar tour, the other three wineries in Alentejo joined to the event.
We had a wine tasting as well.
Each of the winery was very different.
Each of them had their own unique character.
Every wine of Esporao was excellent.
Personally, the rose wine made by Nunes Barata was most my favorite.
Because I had the chair by the owner of the winery, Mr. Luis Miguel, I got the detail of his wine making detail.
I am sure again that every outstanding wine has a lot of serious stories.
We enjoyed a very nice dinner, too.
After the dinner, we went to Beja with 2 hours drive.
We checked in the top luxury hotel there about 12 o’clock in mid night.
It was the hardest day in this tour.
