No Wine Day
Jan. 21
Mike, a wine agent from Hong Kong, and I went to Tavern on Es in Shinjuku for a business meeting lunch.
It’s the first time I’ve been in Tokyo’s 23 wards since the New Year.
I’m on a diet, so I had a simple appetizer and a salad for lunch.
I also stopped drinking wine from noon.
It was good to be able to exchange information in various ways.
On the way home, I bought ingredients and today’s dinner was Sukiyaki.
The meat is red meat from Hokkaido “Furano Wagyu”.
It was tender, juicy and delicious.
I was happy to see that daimajo-sama, who has a thin diet, ate a lot of meat today.
Wine of the Day
Furano Wine Asir Franui Pinot Noir 2021
Along with the “Furano Wagyu beef”, I pulled out the special “Furano Wine” from the cellar.
It is a limited product made by fermenting Furano Pinot Noir with wild yeast.
Gentle mouthfeel derived from wild yeast.
I felt charming fruits flavor with plenty of sweet aroma.
The balance of clean acidity and rounded tannins is also very good.
I also used this wine for the sukiyaki sauce.
“Furano Wagyu” and “Furano wine” showed an exquisite marriage.
Luxury, luxury.
