The winery closest to my home

Nov. 3

I visited the winery closest to my home, Kuratei Winery in Okagami, Kawasaki City.

From my house, along the Tsurumi River, I arrived at the winery in 15 minutes on foot.

Mr. Yamada, who farms in Okagami, opened the winery in 2020 using the special zone system of the wine making license.

They make wine from grapes grown in the estate vineyard of 30 ares.

This year, due to the expansion of the winery, the wine event held on November 3 every year was supposed to be canceled, but today the “wine bottle sale” was held instead.

Until now, due to the license in the special wine zone, the sale of Kuraya wine could only be served at restaurants.

In fact, they have finally been allowed to sell bottles, and today is the first unveiling of them.

I bought 5 different wines.

Good luck, Mr. Yamada.

I’m rooting for you.

Today’s dish.

Sagami Bay Tsumu-Buri and Meji-Maguro Sashimi

Jambon sec, Avocados, Eggs and Cherry Tomato Salad

Lasagna

It is said that Tsumu-Buri is a member of the mackerel family, not buri, yellowtail.

This is the first time I’ve eaten it, but I feel a nice flavor with a firm crunch.

Delicious!

1st Marquis de Beau Rond Sauvignon Blanc 2023 1,080 yen

It is also a classic Marquis de Beau Rond today.

It’s delicious.

2nd Tortues en Crique Merlot Cabernet 2022 1,180 yen

The red is also a classic Languedoc wine.

It is an impeccable wine.
