A cross between Holstein and Japanese black beef.

Oct. 13

It was the second day of a three-day weekend. The good weather continues.

Today’s Dish

Bonio Carpaccio

Shine-Muscat & Mozzarella

Salad with kiwi, avocado, cherry tomatoes and prosciutto

Steak with domestic beef tenderloin

Today’s meat is a brand beef called Youyume Beef that I bought at Maruetsu.

It is said to be a cross between Holstein and Japanese black beef.

It is tender and tasty with firm flesh.

1st Domaine Pech Pouille Blanc 2021 1,200 yen

It is a white wine from the Languedoc-Minervois winery.

It is a sustainable wine made according to their own strict standards.

It is a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Chardonnay, but the characteristics of the so-called varietal are not felt at all.

I felt densely packed fruits flavor and a plump mouthfeel.

It is full of pure and natural flavors.

Since it is such a thick white wine, it went well with the tenderloin steak.

I’ve been feeling a little tired lately, so I only had one bottle of wine today.

I also drank a little Armagnac for cooking.
