I joined in a private wine dinner with my friends at Monfa in Nakano.
I organized a wine party in Monfa at this time of every year.
However, unfortunately, the party was canceled last year and this year because of covid-19.
The photo is the party in 2019.
We enjoyed outstandingly delicious dishes cooked by Okoshi-san, who is the owner chef of the Chinese restaurant.
Especially, the shark fin cook was a kind of miracle.
I couldn’t believe that such super delicious dish is really exist.
We tasted many kind of wine.

Shiraz

Groot Constantia Shiraz 1980
It was today’s special wine.
Groot Constantia is the oldest winery in South Africa established in 1685.
I kept this rare old bottle at my wine cellar over ten years.
I am wondering if the bottle is still drinkable.
Fortunately, the bottle was still alive.
I felt good fruits, elegant acidity and mild tannin.
I didn’t feel any off-flavor because of the long maturing.
It was not outstandingly delicious but very nice.
It was a really nice dinner.
We enjoyed delicious dishes, tasty wines and good talking very, very much.
