Nov. 11
I went to Kofu Yamanashi today.
At first, I visited Sadoya Winery in Kofu, which is one of the oldest winery in Japan, and watched the cellar shortly.
The winery was remodeled recently.
What a beautiful winery is this!
Then I moved to Bon Marche, a French restaurant in Kofu, and joined a unique tasting event.
The theme of the tasting was Koshu Wine and Japanese Pottery Bowl.
Several wine professional were invited.
All pottery bowls are made by Mr. Tamura by his hand.
We tried to taste five Koshu wines by three different bowls.
The pottery bowls made all Koshu wines be fresh, mild and good balanced.
I was surprised at the good combination both of them.
After tasting, we discuss a lot and finally chose the winner bowl.
The wine pottery bowl will be released in next year.
I am really looking forward to receiving it.
Good job everybody!
By the way to home, I tasted a can bottle of Muscat Bailey-A on the train.
Thank you!
