I cooked an Australia Beef today.
1st Okuizumo Wine Sauvignon Blanc 2016 2592 yen
It is a very small production of the winery, only 884 bottles.
It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown in the estate vineyard.
I felt very clear citrus and fine minerals.
I think it is like a very fine Albarino because I didn’t feel any green grass nuance Sauvignon Blanc often has.
I love this style of white wine very much.
I am sure it is one of the top range Sauvignon Blanc wines in Japan.
2nd Okuizumo Wine Kai Noir 2016 2700 yen
This red wine is only sold at the winery.
I bought this at the winery last year.
Kai Noir is a hybrid grape born from Cabernet Sauvignon and some Japanese grape variety.
You don’t often find a wine made from Kai Noir in the market.
It is a very good Kai Noir.
I felt very good acidities, fine fruits and elegant tannins.
It is very tasty.
I think it is the best Kai Noir I have tasted ever.
