No Wine Day
Mar. 17
I went to the temple in Itabashi, where my parents’ graves are located, to visit the graves.

One or two cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom on the old trees of the Higanzakura.

On the way home, I stopped by “Wine & Sake Shop Todaya” in Itabashi to buy wine.
The wine chosen by the owner, Mr. and Mrs. Tanaka, has never been missed.

All the wines lined up in the store are tasted by Tanaka-san, and only the wines they likes are purchased.
I bought 6 bottles of recommended wine today. I’m looking forward to it.

The road was very crowded today, and the return time was later than expected.
I prepared the ingredients for the yakiniku in advance in case this might happen.

I quickly prepared and had yakiniku dinner.
Today’s meat is Sendai beef shoulder loin.
It seems that only the A5 class of Japanese black beef can be called Sendai beef.

It was soft but chewy, juicy yet refreshing, and very delicious.

Today’s Wine

Relax Wine Beaujolais Nouveau 2025
Last year’s Beaujolais Nouveau, this is the last one I have.
According to one theory, Beaujolais Nouveau tastes best when the cherry blossoms begin to bloom.
Today, I saw the cherry blossoms blooming at the temple in Itabashi, and I thought it would go well with yakiniku.
One theory was correct.
The quality was calmer and more elegant than immediately after release.
On the other hand, the fresh red fruits flavor and beautiful acidity are still alive and well.
The texture is smooth and the aftertaste is impressive.
It’s delicious. It’s delicious.
I think I’ll drink a bottle that I keep as an archive.
